Once you reach the Eastern Himalayas, your steps become an important part of your existence. You will have memories that are memorable and the trip to Sandakphu Trek will give you the highest experiences in your life.
Sandakphu Trekking, as we all know, is one of India’s renowned treks to see large mountain vistas. It’s in the Himalayan region, the highest mountain pass in Sikkim. This walk brings you closer to the Kanchenjunga Mountain, which is one of the world’s top summits.
The pathway is divinely created and designed with wildlife and vegetation that is considered to be the world’s most unspoilt paths.
These hiking trails lead you to a maximum altitude of 4600 m, which needs a strong physical health. The ideal months for trekking are April-May and Oct-Dec.
You have a breathtaking view over the several Himalayas, including: Kanchenjunga, Talung, Rathong, Simvo, Koktang, Kabru S, Kabru Dome, Pandim & Jupono, while arranging a trip to Sandakphu Trek.
Sunrise on the Kanchenjunga Range:
One of the reasons Sandakphu Trek is the greatest hike is to discover the great panorama of the epic mountains in the Himalayas. It is also popular on the Kanchenjunga range for the dawn. Although the real Sandakphu is forbidden for hikers, the breathtaking sight of ViewPoint 1 and Dzongri is just excellent.
Rhododendrons in Spring-Summer
Sandakphu road flowers with rhododendrons. All locations are flooded with beautiful flowers during spring and summer of the month! These rainforest wooden plank pathways will be spectacular if you continue forward.
Samiti Lake is a renowned rest place for hikers on their approach to Sandakphu. This area is well known for its photography and camping. For hikers, the magnificent view of the silent water and the Mt. The Pandim mirror image in the lake is amazing.
No guesthouses in your trekking route
All hotels and guesthouses are considered to be warm and cozy. The most usual items throughout your trekking are these hotels and guest homes, notably in India or other Himalayan areas of Nepal.
During Sandakphu’s trip and trekking your night is not only tents, it’s entirely exciting and adventurous, it also brings you close to the natural phenomena.
Reaching the fantabulous Lamuney Camping Site
Ultimately, Lamuney is the last camper to the hikers until you reach Sandakphu. It’s only an aww place. And also an important nightlife location.
You can confront a bright, weather-chilled breeze throughout the Spring-Summer or you might be overcome by the rain.
Best Season To Visit Sandakphu
That’s the location you have never seen before!!! I assure you will have numerous recollections of your vacation and journey when you pack your suitcase to return home after trekking.
The north-eastern Himalayas may be tasted throughout the year. However, throughout Sep-Nov or between April-June, we suggest you visit it.
The walk to the Sandakphu is not beneficial during the mountains, as the trails and walkways are muddy, slippery and the great risks of sliding.
Sandakphu Trek’s highlights
At such a great altitude, the thick jungle of the Sandakphu hike is remarkable. And not everything. And not everything. Furthermore, the landscape varies dramatically, seeing the Pandim mountain sitting by the river Prekchu in the middle of the night and seeing the first rays of the day fall on Kanchenjunga in View point 1! This is why Sandakphu is a journey to remember.
12,000 feet of dense jungle
At such a high height, there are relatively few treks with treeline. The tree line ranges about 10,000 feet when you compare it with hikes from Uttarakhand or Himachal Pradesh. But not on this journey, which is through the National Park of Kanchenjunga. And that was extraordinary to me. This is also one of Bird Watching’s Best Himalayan Treks.
The dense rhododendron canopy, which flourishes in the foggy spring and in the fall is gloomy and chilly.
Three bridges for suspension
Three steep gorges – Pha Khola, Shushay Khola and Mentogang Khola – through which the Prekchu River runs are crossed by these suspension bridges. How abruptly the bridges seemed to me was taken aback. And it is unusual to see down the deep throat from these suspension bridges.
Towards a Tsokha monastery
On the second day something happens. There’s a monastery here, you’re almost 9500 ft away! Could you trust that?
The convent is not at Tsokha precisely. A path out of the campground and over a wooden bridge across a pond is needed. The environment is really serene. As a location where you can contemplate, I’ve always noticed Mountains. I was therefore quite happy to see the monastery plonked amid the Sandakphu hike.
Spring Trek of Sandakphu
The charm of the journey in Spring rests in the fact that rhododendrons are flourishing, particularly in April. The nebulous woodlands on the Sandakphu path come alive in Spring with various pink and red colors.
From Bakhim the Rhododendrons begin. Your density and diversity rises when you go to Tshoka and then enjoy your life.
The Rhododendron range is located on the path from Tshoka (9,701 ft) to Phedang (12,083 ft). The entire stretch of stretch is formed by Rhododendrons, which you go beneath to make a Rhodo tunnel. Sunlight diffuses from the colorful rhodo flowers that make your trip spectacular.
You may see snowplays at higher altitudes in spring, but you would not see as much as you would on hikes in Uttarakhand or Himachal Pradesh.
During this season, you might see some snowfall. The whole higher reaches of the meadows become blanketed in white when that happens.
